about me

Get To Know Me & My Blog

Throughout my career, I’ve worn many hats: model, TV host, brand ambassador, stylist, lifestyle columnist, actress, fashion editor, fashion consultant and, as of now, (fashion) blogger! 🙂 Perhaps you can see the common denominator? Yup, I’m a style crocodile with a passion for fashion. And I’m lucky enough to have made a profession out of my obsession.

chisonoNow, I don’t want to give you my whole life story, but I feel like a bit of resumé is a must if I want to establish my “blogger street cred” 😉 I promise I’ll keep it short!

After completing my MA in psychology, I started out as a fashion editor for magazines like ERES, Marie Claire and Harper’s Bazaar. I was also a buyer for SOHO and a stylist-slash-fashion consultant for a bunch of interesting people, mostly in the showbiz arena. As a model, I’ve appeared in magazines like Vogue, In Style and Hola, and served as brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton, Sedal, Cuervo Amarula, Mabe, Bonafont, Bankaool and Swarovski, among others.

TV is, well, kinda my second home. Highlights include special appearances on Mexico’s Next Top Model, Los Màs Sexys and Zona Trendy, covering red carpets from L.A. to CDMX, and hosting a number of shows like Fashion Police on E! Entertainment Television and Glitter Café on Televisa. These days, you can catch my new fashion and lifestyle gig on Azteca Trece network. As an actress, I’ve appeared in Carlos Reygadas’ film Battle in the Sky and in the hit series Mujeres Asesinas.

I’ve also written a lifestyle column for Italian magazine GRAZIA, and have recently begun working as a strategic positioning consultant in the luxury sector for Latin-American markets. When I need a break… I read a good psychology book! I find it relaxing and inspiring, and to be honest with you, psychology has taught me more about trends and the fashion world than anything else!

I’ve been called a “socialite,” an “influencer” and even a “trend-setter.” And while those are just words, I’m honored that people look to me as a reference in matters of fashion and lifestyle. It tells me that I’ve earned their respect through my passion and dedication. But more than anything, I am just a curious gal who loves feeling alive and is always looking to broaden her horizons. And recently, my journey has brought a new love into my life, whose name is… Italy! Oh, Italy… [swoons] The more I get to know you, the more you seem to be a treasure chest of all my favorite things: trends, fashion, beauty, good food and the pleasure of living well.

Obviously, for a style-junkie like myself, Italy has always been a special place. I still remember my first time… I’d just hopped off the plane, and all it took was one stroll through the streets of Milan, literally overflowing with exquisite boutiques and exciting new brands: I was instantly smitten. But during my recent trips to the country, I’ve come to find out that there’s so much more to be loved about this insanely beautiful country and its fascinating people.

The unique appeal of this boot-shaped land served as the inspiration for this project: a lifestyle and fashion blog where I want to share my knowledge and insight about everything I love the most, and also help you discover the beauty and secrets of Italy. I chose to name it “La Dolce Vita” as a homage to my favorite movie scene ever. I’m talking about the moment when dark mysterious boy kisses resplendent blonde girl… inside the Trevi Fountain! If you haven’t already, make some time to check out this classic film by Federico Fellini: you’ll instantly get a taste of Italia‘s magic. But of course, not before you read my precious tips on outfits, events, food, wine, and all the other finer things in life.
